I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sunrun (Houston, TX) in Aug 2022
Interview
Interview was in 3 parts.
Two through zoom and one last overview at the office.
First interview was over the phone where a young lady went over the job description. She seemed unsure at times which job I would be given because they had made recent changes in the organization which confused me a little bit (when it came time for the overview) but I was happy with my first interview (lasted about 35-45 mins) and found the interviewer very nice. I was invited to a 2nd interview however I only had a few hours to prepare because it was sent late in the night for the next day. My 2nd interview didn't go as well I thought because my toddler was screaming in the background and was very distracting the first 8 mins or so. There was no time to find a proper baby sitter and i wish they would have given me better notice. Once my family member removed him, the interview went great (about 45 mins) and I learned even more about the company. I was then invited to an overview at the office. The overview was a team meeting first with a group info session for those who were coming on next plus current employees. There I learned that I would be going d2d setting up appointments only. I also learned the position of the other sales person that would then come in and close the deal with a presentation. I was more interested in that job because I remember the 1st interviewer mentioning it and that's the one I would have preferred it be for but it was still good information regarding compensation and how I would be paid. There was an initial hesitant action because of something that was said during the overview by a manager but once I voiced this to other managers, I felt it was resolved fairly.
Overall...I enjoyed the interview process, I just didn't feel comfortable in the end even though I was offered the job. All those in my group were asked to stay on however if you were in the group you would not understand why. We were four completely different people and as a former hiring manager at another company; you would think this was definitely a "numbers" type situation based on what I heard, the questions that were asked ect. I wish the others luck on their journey.
Hope this info helps.
