I was supposed to be interviewing for a marketing director role with two people, neither who showed up. After checking in, I was guided to a conference room by the person at the front desk and waited alone for half an hour before leaving. I let the reception person know that I was departing politely, but she had nothing to say or do on behalf of my missing counterparties.
I reached out to HR after my experience and received a reply, but no real explanation, just a generic apology. No attempts to reschedule were made.
I see them continuing to post this challenging-to-get-someone-good-role [including currently] and while their pay looks competitive for the area, I have a feeling that the dysfunction runs deep in the organization based on my experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They didn't ask questions because they didn't show up.
Hello! We are surprised to hear this, as we have not missed any interviews with any candidates in at least the 2 years that I've been working here as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, in charge of the interviews. We also have not had a job open for a Marketing Director in a very long time. I would be happy to hear more so I can get some sort of understanding.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Super Bright LEDs in Oct 2023
Interview
They initially reached out to me to apply if interested. Quick to schedule the interview but hiring process is drawn out. I had further conversations with related departments. Pretty much said they had no other candidates that could compare and needed to do a skills test.
They said they would reach back out with an answer but never did. Just ghosted and wasted my energy, time and efforts. Please listen to the other reviews, they don't respect applicants time or bother giving follow up/responses.
Hello! We are surprised at this review, as we have not used a recruiter to hire a Photographer at the very least since I've been with company as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the last 2 years. We also definitely like to hire a lot quicker than 4+ weeks, so that surprises us as well. Do you have any more information you can share so I may help you?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Super Bright LEDs (Earth City, MO) in July 2021
Interview
You have to be buzzed in the building, so my first interaction was with HR. She was a very helpful lady to break the ice with while waiting for the hiring managers to meet me.
We found a nearby conference room and the process began with the basic interview questions. The whol experience was about 30m long in total. Afterwards we walked out with the classic, "we'll be in touch". However, to this day, I have not received any follow up. After reading other Glassdoor interviews for this company, I went in expecting that to be the outcome. Even after sending a post interview thank you, still nothing.
My advice is to be thorough. With this being an in person interview, time and money were set aside to make an appearance, at the very least let us know which direction you are going after the interview.
