First I had the screening call with the recruiter, and after 2 weeks the interview with the hiring manager.
They asked very detailed questions about my experience, the syatems that I use at my current job, day to day tasks, situational questions.
The interview took about an hour.
After a few days a received an offer, for a salary package way lower than what expected. I was told I had an excelent feedback but due to not having more than one year experience the salary level was set up by hiring managers at this level.
If my feedback was good and I demonstrated I have knowledge about all those processes, the years of experience shouldn't matter. My exposure is the same.
Also, I find it very rude that they wasted our time. I expressed my expectations from the screening call, my experience was visible in my CV. If they couldn't meet my requirements, the interview shouldn't have taken place.
