I was intrigued to apply for this knowing so many good people who worked there and having an "in" as one would think. Anyway, I submitted my resume and had been contacted by the recruiting manager who was very pleasant and we had a great conversation. Running through my career history and what I was doing as of late. I was and am clearly suited for this role having worked in this capacity for 5 plus years in a previous large financial institution. He then recommended me to speak with the hiring manager who then reached out to speak with me via zoom meeting several days later. The hiring manager and I meet and ran though my work history while he was working from home. Unfortunately, he seemed to have commotion with children in his household along with looking at second monitor and typing (most likely responding to other emails or teams messages) while asking me questions. In retrospect, if I being even greater qualified to be his boss leaves me to wonder if he was intimidated by my background and then ghosting me was his way of being professional, then I'm better off not working here with someone this uncaring to not even send any sort of closure response good or bad.
