      Business Sales and Service Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TELUS (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2018

      Interview

Applied online through Telus. A day later got invited for online assessment which was a call center simulation as well as personality and behavior questions (pretty long assessment 1-2 hours). A week later contacted by recruiter who was very friendly and setup a phone screening interview. Spoke with the recruiter with basic screening questions such as, Why Telus? Since I had previously done something similar in my last company she explained the role and said it would be similar. What assets do you bring to Telus? Greatest Strengths etc.....She was very friendly and probably the best recruiter I have dealt with thus far. After the phone interview I waited about a week or so and i followed up, the hiring manager was sick for the week and couldn't get to the interview until next week. It was great she provided updates every step of the way. Finally I got the face to face interview, with the hiring manager and director. They made me feel relaxed and explained that they wanted to have more of a conversation rather than dry bland questions from the HR worksheet. They did ask me behavioral questions (because they had to) and they were pretty difficult. Some caught me off guard such as, What was the most creative project you work on and why? What was the biggest risk you took and how did it turn out? Explain a time to me when you failed and how you took it. (these were the most difficult for me) The rest were normal to the scope of the job. The interviewers were great and it gave me an awesome vision of the culture of the company. They explained they would make a decision soon. Next week no word so I followed up with the recruiter again to make sure everything was ok. She contacted me about 2 1/2 weeks after the face to face interview saying I got the job and would be proceeding with background and reference checks before the final offer.
