      Customer Success Manager (CSM) Interview

      22 Feb 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TUNE in Jan 2023

      Interview

4 rounds - recruiter screen, hiring manager, VP level, then another "informal" call with the hiring manager. The informal call was very misleading in that it felt like it was a final round before an offer, then I was told "well we're interviewing more people, we'll let you know next week." Then 'next week,' I was told it would be 2 or more weeks, etc. but that if I get an offer elsewhere to let her know (to me, suggesting they would expedite things because I was a top candidate). Then the next email basically said if I got another offer, they understood (implying at this point, that they found better candidates). I completely respect if another candidate was better than myself, but it was a very degrading process and misleading at best. I have friends who are managers and they've said in most cases, they don't tell someone they have an "informal" call if they don't plan on hiring them. I found out today that they made an offer to someone else but did not bother to let me know, after all the time I put into the process.
