One onsite and a take home. Technical questions were on Java basics, some Android specifics and demoing apps I'd built. The take home was to build an Android app.
During the interview the subject of salary and age came up - how much do I expect to make given my age, do I have a family why would I need the salary advertised (30 -35k) what is the lowest amount I would accept etc..
Feedback from the Dev team was good - the take home was a bit too much work and not worth the effort - the topics that came up during the onsite felt very unprofessional.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tapadoo in Apr 2021
Interview
There was a screening call followed by a take-home test. The test is designed to show off your development skills. One can complete it on their own time. Once they evaluate the test, there will be a one-hour interview conducted by two technical people. They explained the requirements of the job and asked about the previous experiences I have. Pretty much the routine interview process. It felt more like a discussion than an interview. I believe it made me perform my best.
