I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in Aug 2016
Interview
I was rang at 9am one morning and told to come in to an interview at 10pm that night. I had prepared a day before as I was hoping for an interview, but I was sat in the canteen for a good 20 minutes before being brought into a room. I was interviewed by two people who asked over 20 questions. The woman asked a question then the man did and vice versa. None of it related to the actual role. The questions were all 'name a time, give me a time etc they were the most difficult questions I've had yet along with complicated behavioural questions. I answered all but one as I had no idea what it meant & the man spoke so quietly I could barely understand him. They emailed me 8 hours later to say I was unsuccessful. I had been doing the exact same job in a different supermarket yet was unsuccessful which was ridiculous.
