I applied online. I interviewed at Tesco (Guildford, England) in Sept 2020
Interview
There was literally no interview. They invited us in a room and we filled a form with our name and ticked if we have any illnesses. After that we were given a cutter each and made us do restock for two hours. After that they invited each for a little chat and when I told them I won’t be available for overtime as I am planning to find a daytime full time job and wish to stick to shift hours as advertised. Next day I recieved an email saying I am not good fit for them. Like really? You just made us work for free and restock your products for two hours and then when I say I want to work only for hours you advertised you say I am not good for you? I mean wow. Imagine how many people worked there for free.. and it wasn’t even interview really.
Via telephone - questions regarding availability, previous related experience, preferences for hours to work, skills and habits including hobbies and interests that may relate/ support role, scenario based questions to gauge personality/ process/ understanding of policies and procedures, etc,
