I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory (Waikïkï, HI) in July 2014
Interview
They act like they are hiring servers.. advertise online on indeed, and craigslist. Then you usually have to know someone who works there and call a few times and keep reminding the GM about your application you submit online. Then, you will get an interview and most likely they will try to hire you as a host. and if you DO apply as a host, and they tell you they will move you up to a serving position just keep in mind there's probably about 15 other hostesses that were told the same thing.

Question 1
why do you want to work at the cheesecake factory?
Good and brief. The interview lasted a couple of minutes it went well but there was no response to whether I got a job or not. The manager was very nice

I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory (Glendale, WI) in Mar 2026
Interview
You initially interview with an assistant manager or something. It is a rather easy interview but then they say they will get back to you about setting up a second interview and they never do. Felt like the were giving me the run-around. Not professional.
I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory (Orland Park, IL)
Interview
Very easy interview process. I sat down with one of the shift managers and we went over job duties, my experience and availability. They mostly ask about reliability and availability.
