Application
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Christian Post
Interview
They hire based on inexperience. More than half the people working there were not qualified for what they were doing. A newspaper with no actual journalists. They ask if you believe in Christian values, and you say "yes." At many points there were atheists and non Christians there. Essentially they picked people who didn't cost much.
I contacted a known editor, and they referred me to the managing editor, Michelle Vu. Michelle then sent me a link to their online job application for the job. After I submitted my application, resume, and cover letter, Michelle contacted me to setup a phone interview. The interview didn't last more than 15 minutes, and consisted only of relevant questions to the company and to the job that was applied for.
