I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Language Co. (Fort Worth, TX) in Sept 2023
Interview
Two rounds: 1) you will be provided a list of grammatical concepts that students are taught such as comparatives/superlatives, present perfect, etc. You will pick a concept from the list and prepare a short 10-15 minute demo lesson that you will "teach" to your interviewer(s). 2) A more traditional interview on your past teaching experiences and certain behavioral questions such as "Have you worked with people of different backgrounds", "How do you tailor your teaching styles to accommodate the needs of your students", etc.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Language Co.
Interview
Very smooth and efficient process with a quick turnaround time - at least that's what I found. The place is easy to find and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Language Co. in June 2014
Interview
Applied online and got an reply within 5 work days. Had a phone interview first. Normally it is the center director interview you, not the HR department. After pass the phone interview, I did a 15 minutes demonstration class. Using a non-English language to teach this language. For example, using Spanish to teach Spanish. You can choose any language you want to teach, but you have to speak this language. My suggestion is to not explain too much but have different activities; keep the demo fun and iterative. PS, they might give you an evaluation form before you lesson.
