I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Way (Los Angeles, CA) in Sept 2023
Interview
A TOTAL WAIST OF TIME. i had a feeling going into this that it was a scam. I was told it was an interview for an Account Manager position and would be speaking with their manager, Hobby despite Hobby’s LinkedIn saying she is the CEO. This was not an interview and just a two minute video or Hobby rambling about the company. When she said the position they were hiring for, Account Manager was not listed. The next step was a survey that they would use to decide if you are qualified for the next round of interviews. This was a total waist of time and has to be a scam company. Little information on the company website and zero client information to be found.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Way in June 2023
Interview
They told me that my application made it to the screening interview super quickly. I got dressed and ready for the Zoom but to my surprise when I logged on my audio and video were both disabled. I think there were a group of us all on at the same time. I was shown a two minute video where they talk about their “close-knit” environment and “fast-growing industry” that offers "opportunity" and “an increase in responsibility and possible promotions” in the first few months. They then had us fill out a survey about why we are better than the other candidates and told us that if we are put through the next round will be at 8 AM the next day. This makes absolutely no sense considering legitimate companies generally schedule interviews with prospective staff based on joint schedules. I noticed a lot of red flags during the process and wish I trusted my gut and didn't even waste my time on the first round. Watch the documentary "Slave Circle" on YouTube - that's what this company seems to be a part of.
