The interview was informalised. First, I did not apply for job but I received a call from HR asked me keen to interview for this position. With more opportunity offered, then I accept interview invitation. My first interview invitation was conducted by SQM Mgr and staff engineer, they pop me alot of questions and I've managed answer all question. First interview completed within 1 hr. Next day I received a call from HR ask me to attend second interview, there was another 2 hiring mgr who conducted second interview for me. I think the most kill people question is " you only work less a year for your current company why you started to look for new job?" Her face is less impressive when she threw out the question. In bottom of my heart I just would rather reply " Excuse me, did HR never inform you about this, Its YOU find me and ask me to come for interview". However, I just politely reply with reason. The second interview is seem repeated as what I did in first interview similar question. It took 40 minutes to completed. Overally There is not handshake between hiring mgr and hr where ask me to attend interview. You are totally waste my time. It's low standard interview compare to formal interview conducted in Semiconductor industry.
Then I kept follow up few times after a month, HR told me that I wasn't shortlisted. Fine for me as I don't think to work in this company. With strong background in semiconductor and worked under high technological industry it is compared to medical industry. I do prefer work in Semiconductor than Thermo Fisher. Yet I'd never had thought to join to Thermo fisher. Thermo Fisher is not capable to compare with tip top semiconductor industry such as Texas Instruments, Infineon, Micron and etc.
Waste time, waste energy, waste effort, weak communication and weak in identifying candidate's strength. This is 5W suitable capped for you. Thanks!
