1) Phone call by HR:
They said it was a hiring workshop and the HR even conducted a screening round for half an hour over the phone and then she said you are selected for the workshop regarding "Microservices".
2) Workshop (13-14 of December)
Started with an intro about "Microservices" and once the intro was done he said forget about the hiring process for now.
A topic was given and more logics were added incrementally. We presented our ideas and thats it.
End of the sessions on day 2, neither the final code and design was checked and only thing which we did was presentation nothing else.
Funny thing is it was not related to "MIRCOSERVICES".
Finally I get a templated mail saying "Unfortunately we are not proceeding with your application" without any feedback.
I sent a mail regarding the same to the HR and she calls me saying the system generates it automatically and it was not them. How is it so, how can a system send mails without someone sending an action to it. Weird. Also, she says she will get a detailed feedback on the same and get back to me, but how without our final code base or our design??
It was completely un-professional from your end and if you only wanted people to come for the workshop you could have just said so.
Please dont attend their hiring workshop, because the HR team says one thing and the people conducting it says another.
A big let down is Thoughtworks.
