Thrive Psychology has a wonderful interview process! It was very thoughtful, had multimedia, and the interview style shows they are really interested in getting to you know what kind of clinician you are.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Thrive Psychology Group (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2022
Interview
You are sent an email outlining the three-step interview process. The first step is a video interview. You watch an explainer video that states that this is to help the co-founders get to know you and your personality.
Unfortunately it's actually recorded questions that are not personal in nature at all. You are asked a question, given 30 seconds to think and then immediately your face pops up on the screen with a timer. It's incredibly awkward.
In one question, I discussed how my technical skills and ability to create workflows and automations using technology are what set me apart from the competition, but the final question asked how about my technical aptitude. A human wouldn't ask you a question you already answered, and I felt like the explainer video inaccurately described what was expected of the candidates.
I was not excited about the role after the video screening. In a role where your people skills are critical, I didn't think is was appropriate to screen people through recordings.
