Interview
Had a screening call with a recruiter, which went all right, although there was a weird moment where he was talking about getting fake applications and did a pretty cringe impersonation of foreign accents as part of that. Was told I would advance to the next round of interviews, emailed the person with availability when they reached out, and never heard anything from them again. No idea why you’d ghost a candidate mid-process.

Interview
My initial screening meeting with the recruiter didn’t actually involve him asking me any questions about my background or experience - he basically told me what he thought my relevant skills were and spent most of the time talking about himself and bragging about how amazing the company was (Did you know they’ve never done layoffs? They only fire people for cause!).
I was moved on to meet with a hiring manager who, despite being pretty new to the company, already seemed exhausted and beaten down. She also didn’t really ask me any questions about my prior roles or relevant work and mostly just fished for “consulting” type suggestions about how I thought they could improve their content strategy. She also warned me that I probably wouldn’t hear back from them ”for a while” on next steps - this turned into “never” since, like most candidates, I was ghosted.

Interview
I interviewed in August 2024 for the Sr. Technical Project Manager position at Tillster. I successfully progressed through the first two rounds and was invited to the final interview.
The final interview was unfortunately interrupted by a family emergency, but I believe I was able to effectively address the questions posed before the interruption. While some of the questions were unique, I felt the overall interview went well.
Following the interview, I sent personalized thank-you emails to each interviewer. However, I experienced a complete lack of communication from the company. Despite waiting four days for any updates or feedback regarding the position, I received absolutely no response.
This lack of communication is extremely disappointing and reflects poorly on the company's hiring practices. It's crucial for companies to maintain open and respectful communication with candidates throughout the interview process.
