I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Boston, MA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Applied through a friend who worked at the company. All the interviewers were very polite. First round consisted of a technical phone screen. Second round was onsite, where I was interviewed by multiple people throughout a halfday, mostly technical, and one culture interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Two part question: Given a list of prices for a stock, and one buy option and one sell option, find the optimal price to buy, then sell.
then, given unlimited options, but capacity for 1 share, redo the problem.
Leetcode style 1 hr technical along with 1 hr behavioral with pretty standard questions. Interviewers were both really nice and hardest part of technical were the follow-up questions but the interviewer was very helpful.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2026
Interview
I scheduled a first round technical interview. Recruiter emailed 2 days later saying position filled. Very disappointing. Phone screen was good descriptive and helpful. Shoukd of flagged rolling hiring. Was for junior engineer role.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Bengaluru) in Mar 2026
Interview
Overall, the interview experience was good, with questions ranging from a moderate to slightly challenging level. There were a total of four rounds, and the difficulty progressively increased with each stage. The initial rounds focused on fundamental concepts and gradually moved toward more in-depth problem-solving and advanced topics in later rounds. This progression allowed for a structured evaluation of both core understanding and the ability to handle complex scenarios.
