Just an overall frustrating experience of interviewing for Hardware Product Manager role at Toast. Ended up getting ghosted by recruiter. Awful culture!!! I’m sharing the timeline below for reference.
07/20 - Email from recruiter asking to schedule a call to discuss the role.
07/22 - I talked to the recruiter, during the interview, he tells me the hiring manager already has seen my resume and is interested to meet me. So, I share my availability using the link I received in an email that day.
(Now starts the drama)
07/25, 07/26, 07/27, 07/29, 08/01, 08/02 - I repeatedly follow up but get no reply. My availability on the link expires (as I only shared two weeks of my time initially).
08/03 - To my surprise, Recruiter emails me thanking for my patience and asking for additional availability (without any link) as the hiring team wants to still meet me. I immediately reply to the email with my availability for next two weeks.
08/05, 08/09, 08/10, 08/11 and 08/15 - I follow up on these days but no reply from recruiter again. The hours of my availability again expire.
I was very interested in the role which is why I was persistent trying to keep up and stay positive in all my emails but this terrible experience has left a sour taste. They need to train their people or look into these incidents before the conduct any other interviews.
