I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Towne Club Windermere
Interview
On the same day I submitted my resume the Director of Sales and Marketing called me for an interview. Her schedule seemed full with little room for flexibility with interview times/days. After a date was set and I arrived the same person gave me very little time to complete the application and asked me to begin the interview without it being complete. She was personable and conducted an informal interview. During this interview I also met with Executive Director. She was personable also, they both promoted family life outside of work. They were both hard to read for I was not sure about the sarcasm from both when it came to wanting to know about the ages of my children, my personal life, and me needing to give a two week notice upon an offer given. After speaking with both they wanted me to speak with the VP of Sales the next day. Originally they told me one time then it turned out that his plane didn't land until later that day so that time changed. On the day of the interview I was called last minute and told that due to his plane being delayed a face-to-face interview was not going to take place and that the interview would be conducted by phone. I was told to give him a call at a certain time, so I did he wasn't available and needed to call me back. When we finally spoke on the phone he apologized for not having my resume in front of him so the interview was conducted without him knowing much about me and over a not so great cell phone conversation. The conversation was interesting because his explanation of the job duties for the position differed then what the other two told me it entailed. And no.....they never asked about the application that I didn't have time to fill out at the 1st meeting. I didn't like the fact that they were not very flexible or considerate of my schedule but when it came to their scheduled they felt it appropriate to keep changing it as it met their needs not the candidates. They obviously had someone else in mind and i felt more like a fill in so they could say they interviewed X amount of people for the position. Once they asked me the ages of my children I figured the interview was pretty much done, I only went through with it to boost my interview skills. The whole talking about my personal life was a big turn off. No matter what anybody says it gets used against you when it comes down to 2 or more very qualified candidates. I did not hear from anyone after the interview, even after I sent a "thank you" email.
