I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Traackr (Paris) in Sept 2019
Interview
Applied through linkedin and the head of sales dev. got back to me within a day or two. He organized a intro call and then invited me to their office in Paris. HR contacted me and asked for some information related to working permit. They were all responsive within a day or two but not really interested even though they were giving me positive feedbacks. After the meeting in their office, head of sales dev asked me if I have a good level of french and then he went ghost by saying they found someone with a better knowledge in the industry and the decision is not related to my french level. A week later a head hunter reached out to me and asked me if I’m interested in this position. I can still see that the position is open. I understand the company culture, their managers can easily lie on your face rather than giving a constructive feedback. I wouldn’t thrust the company - I’m glad they didn’t offer me the position.
Thanks for providing feedback on our process. I apologize if my feedback on your candidacy was not clear. As I had stated in my follow-up with you, your French language proficiency was a concern as it is required for this role given the number of French speaking prospects you would be interacting with. You are, indeed, correct that we have not yet filled the role. We are actively pursuing candidates with the language skills and profile we desire. All the best as you continue to consider roles and find one that is the best fit for you.
