I applied online. I interviewed at Trican (Grande Prairie, AB) in June 2022
Interview
Other than him questioning me about the degree, the interview went very well and I can't think of any other reason I wasn't given another interview with someone higher up in recruiting. Not to mention they told us at the beginning they were looking for 45 frac operators so it wasn't like everyone was competing for one or two spots. Is there a chance that they could actually call me back in a couple days or do you think the engineering degree blew my chances of getting an operator job?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Trican in May 2017
Interview
Received the job through the recruiter and went for an interview with a supervisor and HR representative. It wasn't difficult. I then got a tour of the office and received a offer shortly after.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Trican (Fort McMurray, AB) in Jan 2019
Interview
Very impressive interview process where the hiring team showed a lot of interest. A lot of steps in the interview process from phone, to personal meetings to medical testing. Very good experience overall.
