      Account Operations Executive Interview

      No offer
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (London, England)

      Interview

It was very unprofessional and disappointing. I was contacted by a recruiter and had a Skype interview with her. After that I had two more Skype interviews with other people. During all the interviews I was asked pretty much the same questions- mainly about my experience. They also gave me a technical test to complete- which basically required me to spend a lot of time reading and learning from their website- something like self-training before even getting the job! After that I was invited to face-to face interviews with several people on site. Most of them went well but one of the interviewers was downright rude and hostile trying to provoke me all the time. After that I was almost sure this place was not for me but I waited for the feedback anyway. Nobody bothered to contact me any more and provide a feedback. When I asked the recruiter she told me that it`s a "No" because I had not enough experience- really interesting given the fact that I had had several previous interviews discussing my experience (plus they had my CV of course) so one would think they should be pretty well aware of my experience by that moment. Apparently I had to waste a day off work to attend the interview and answer the same questions for them to realise I had not enough experience:) Unprofessional attitude and total disregard of candidates` time.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (London, England) in June 2016

      Interview

Submitted CV though their website, was contacted by a member of HR and given a telephone interview, then given an exercise to complete, then a 30 minute Skype interview. The HR manager kept calling me by a more exotic version of my very common name. Fun sure, but not my name. Ultimately I'm assuming 'they were just not that into me' because no one actually bothered to get back to me after all that. If you have time to give candidates multiple interviews and exercises to complete, you have time to send them a one line email. Frankly, it's just plain rude. To summarise: frustrating.
