I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Type One Energy
Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Type One Energy (Knoxville, TN) in July 2023
Interview
The recruiter approached me via LinkedIn. We set up an initial call, during which he gave me an introduction to the company's goals and recommended that I talk to the hiring manager, which happened a couple of days later. The hiring manager also introduced me to a couple more people I would be working with, including some of the executives, all of whom had different questions for me, so it all felt very relevant.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Type One Energy (Madison, WI)
Interview
The interview process was fine. I had an interview with the recruiter which was straightforward and to the point and I had a follow-up interview with them and then a a last interview with the founders (CTO). Everything seemed positive and they told me they wanted to make an offer. They asked for references which I provided and rushed me to push them to respond as soon as possible since they were in rush for this position to start. After they received the responses from my references, they scheduled a meeting with an external HR department since they still did not have all the departments themselves. The meeting with the external entity kept going without them showing up. Every couple of days, they would try to schedule another meeting and then again not showing up. The executives were not responding either but kept saying they are still trying to move forward and providing me with a verbal offer. They never sent me the written offer and still sending me messaged that they are in the process of assembling their written offer and the reason it was taking so long was because of them being a startup and not organized. The recruiter was wonderful throughout the process and very responsive as much as he knew the answers but the executives seemed to have idea what they wanted to do but they still refused to let me know the exact situation. I moved on and a while after that, I still received a response explaining they want to move forward but they don't know why it is taking this long!! I never really understood what they really wanted to achieve since that was the last message I received from them. I advise against working for this company since the mindset doesn't seem to be right and it is definitely super unorganized. I personally do not consider their offer competitive especially for the title and responsibilities they wanted to hire for.
