Interview
The nearest Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) will medically screen individuals to determine eligibility. A military aptitude test will help to determine what field of work each person is best suited for. Upon accepting a job, a ship out date will be given and qualifying applicants to attend mandatory boot camp.

very lengthy, and thorough. you're going to provide pretty much all information from your entire life and some from your immediate family as well, including step anything you might have, and a background of your education. Just make sure anything a recruiter tells you you're going to get, get it in writing or it doesn't count.
Asvab testing provided a categorization of job opportunities, followed by physical exams that ensured ability to complete the job. Clearances were given based off historical references and criminal records. Must be somewhat proficient in computers

Long and drawn out, lots of tests and waiting. Best to understand what each job you are interested in is before going to MEPS as the job descriptions are not normally accurate. The people at MEPS are salespeople.
