ASTB Test is the process to become a pilot. You need to take that and do well. If you don't take it or don't do well, you will end up in another warfare area
Served enlisted and then transferred to officer and attended flight school. Once flight school completed, received naval aviator wings and began flying my-60r helicopters. I love flying helicopters. They are better than jets. Way cooler.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Navy (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2011
Interview
Tough selection process based on grades and leadership. Required to sit through two separate panels to get interviewed then required to submit tests scores. Also had to submit letters of recommendation from other individuals that I had experience working with and for in the past. The requirements were sent to D.C. where they were again reviewed by a selection panel to determine who was selected for the program.
