I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uline (Kenosha, WI) in July 2018
Interview
The interview process was very odd, if I had to summarize it. My phone interview with their head of HR was very robotic. He didn't have any emotion whatsoever, didn't really respond to any of my answers (went straight to the next question), and overall he came off as way too shy to be in HR.
My in person interviews were odd as well. The first was a panel with the regional manager and sales director. Both were nice but asked odd questions throughout the whole process. Like, "Why are you looking to get out of retail stores?", "What other companies are you applying to?", "What were your sales quota goals from 2016?", "If we hire you are you going to jump ship if a different opportunity presents itself?".
The last round was with the branch manager, who was nice but very hard to read. He didn't have much of a reaction to any of my answers, and barely made eye contact with me during the process. Again, more odd interview questions asking me about where else I'm applying to, sales goals from years ago, my sell-in $$ amounts to various big box accounts in my previous role.
Overall it was very odd like I stated above. I remained positive throughout the whole thing, but decided probably halfway through the first panel interview that this place wasn't for me and didn't go very much into detail with any other questions I was asked. I started to worry more about beating the traffic home.
Started with tests about sales that took a couple hours, and then once that was completed they followed up with a behavioral interview via phone call to screen candidates on their resume, experience and skill set.
