Interview
Uline is the equivalent of applying to Severance's Lumen.
I applied online and had a phone screening. I was then invited to interview in-person in a silent, cold, empty office in downtown Milwaukee. When I walked in, the front desk person ignored me until I asked if I was in the right place. She had me take an aptitude test that included recognizing number patterns. You had to get through as many as possible within the timeframe provided - I think it was around 5 minutes.
Once all the tests concluded, I was invited to meet with the interviewer in another room. They offered me water, asked standard work history questions, and told me about Uline's culture. They described to me a culture of suppression. At the time, women were required to wear skirts and had to wear tights underneath during the winter months. I said I work well in teams, but they said there would be limited collaboration, and the offices were expected to be quiet.
Prior to the interview, I had done some research on the company and looked into the leadership team to see how things were run. I was surprised to find the CEO releases newsletters that are, to put it lightly, deranged.
According to a friend who worked there for a couple of years, employees were allegedly allowed one personal item on their desk that had to be put away at the end of the workday.
Anyway, it wasn't for me and I declined the position.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uline (St. Albert, AB) in Feb 2021
Interview
interviewers were thorough, organized, followed up pre-and-post interview. many companies do not provide the courtesy of informing a candidate of an unsuccessful application so this was nice. fair package, job discussed was similar to what was posted on the add.
