      Sofware Developer Interview

      3 June 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Uline

      Interview

The interview process started with a video call with a recruiter, which was pretty straightforward — just going over my background and the role. After that, I had an in-person interview with a senior developer where we talked more in-depth about my experience and some of the technologies they use. They also asked some technical questions, which were fair and relevant. I moved on to the final round, which was on-site again. This time, I met with five different people — a director, HR, a manager, and a software architect. It was a mix of technical and behavioral questions, and honestly, I thought it went really well. Everyone was professional and easy to talk to. Unfortunately, I didn’t get an offer, and I wasn’t given any feedback about why, which was disappointing. What made the process frustrating was how slow it was — it took almost three months from start to finish, with long periods of silence between each step. I often had to follow up just to get an update. Final thoughts: The interviews themselves were solid, but the lack of communication and feedback made the experience feel a bit impersonal. If you're interviewing here, be prepared for a slow process and don’t expect much in terms of follow-up.
