I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in June 2015
Interview
Applied online and 2 weeks later got a video interview. I had 5 days to complete the interview. Make sure you research the questions because most of them are the same as described here on glassdoor. Most questions use a STAR format, so you better practice that if you want to be successful. Even thought I thought I did pretty well - I got a thank you but no thank you email a couple weeks after I completed the video interview - it was a very valuable experience. Do not get discouraged because you have to realize how competitive this position is. Good luck to all!
