I applied in-person. I interviewed at United Airlines (Newark, NJ) in Sept 2015
Interview
They asked me all the questions I saw on glassdoor for United. "Describe a time you handled a rude customer." "What is a misconception others may have of you?" "Describe a conflict you have had with a coworker." "Why do you want to be a Flight Attendant?" "Describe a time you could have handled yourself better with a customer." "What weakness do you need to improve upon?" "What is a time you have had fun on the job? (meant as a positive question)" "If on a short flight, the Flight Attendant working with you refused to do a beverage service, how would you handle that situation?"
My advice is to research questions like these on glassdoor and write your answers to become familiar with them. They mostly asked questions I had prepared for in advance through glassdoor.
Everyone interviewing wore business suits with pants or a skirt. Ladies - wear pantyhose. Also, research the company on sites like Wikipedia and review any recent news so you are prepared. It is worth the effort so you can go in CONFIDENT and prepared for anything they may ask.

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
