      Flight Attendant Interview

      30 Oct 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Oct 2015

      Interview

I applied online, and I was asked a couple of days later to complete a video interview. I was invited to fly, free cost (hotel was a personal expense), to Houston to do a f2f. The interviewers seemed less than welcoming, after I was anticipating their "friendly skies" environment (honestly on the flight over I saw that the flight attendants appeared to be extremely disheveled and abrasive) . We were called in one by one to interview, the process took a few hours. The questions asked were very basic, similar to the ones shared on here and during the video interview. There were a few people who spoke with each other but you could, for the most part, hear a pin drop. We would see people quietly (behind several standing posters) being sent into a separate room, we initially thought these were bilingual applicants. I felt like they were just being very sketchy about this whole selection process. I feel like I answered every question very professionally and was not asked to stay behind in this oh so secret room. We were told that we would hear through email whether or not we were accepted, but from what people said who had done the f2f previously, if you hadn't been asked into the secret room you weren't going to be hired. I would have felt more respected and professional if they would have been more honest. I actually got accepted for a position with Delta Airlines, so no regrets. I feel like I didn't really mesh well with these employees anyway. Not nearly as friendly as the Delta crew. As far as interview attire, I saw girls with EXTREMELY unprofessional attire being taken into the "secret room" (ie tight, ill fitting dresses), but also all black blazer/skirt combos.

Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
