I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Jan 2021
Interview
The interview with the hiring manager was fair and straight forward, but the HR person sure asked the dumbest, most irrelevant questions I've ever heard for a QA position; like explain how you would espouse the Vertex quality of curiosity and bravery? What! I guess she didn't like my answer because I wasn't invited for a second round.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Boston, MA) in July 2025
Interview
4 rounds: HR screen, Hiring manager interview, Exec Director/VP interview, Final round was a Panel interview (one after the other, not all at once with HR lead, hiring manager plus 3 others). Everyone was very nice, Despite multiple scheduling issues on their end during the process the HR team was very communicative. Would have really enjoyed the role, team, etc. Then nothing - ghosted.
The only way I knew I didn't get the role was because I logged into their Workday system for candidates.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Feb 2025
Interview
Process took 6 weeks. Sadly after investing much time in the process no feedback given. Didn't hear back from anyone despite following up.
Mixture of questions via email, screening call with HR followed by 4 interviews with various people across business.

How does this industry differ from other industries ?
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Boston, MA) in Nov 2024
Interview
Interview process went pretty smooth. They eventually reached out and asked for references to which I provided. Company then proceeded to reject me: but not because of a bad reference, the job was filled by another. It seems ridiculous that a company would go through that process of collecting references for nothing. It shows a lack of respect for your time along with your colleagues time.
