I had a highly disappointing experience with Vertex during their hiring process. After multiple panel interviews, I was left completely in the dark for weeks with no updates, despite following up multiple times. If they decided to move forward with another candidate, a simple courtesy email would have sufficed.
It seems like they may have conducted external interviews just for show while intending to promote internal candidates all along. If that’s the case, they should be upfront about it instead of wasting applicants’ time.
Ghosting candidates after extensive interviews reflects poorly on a company’s professionalism and respect for people’s time. If this is how they treat prospective employees, I can only imagine what the internal work culture is like.
I would not recommend wasting your time with this company if you expect a respectful and transparent hiring process.
