I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Arlington, TX) in June 2014
Interview
Applied via paper application in the store for a temp position and was called in for an interview after 2 weeks. Interviewed in a group with 2 other girls and was asked to stay after the interview for a chat with the manager. She wanted to hire me on the spot but was concerned about my availability (only two weeks by the time they called me in for the interview -- they generally toss applications that have availability that short), so she asked me to call her/apply again the next break I had. I applied again over the summer, interviewed in a group again, and received a phone call with an offer within a week.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
