I interviewed at Vitality Brands Worldwide (Melbourne)
Interview
After submitting my application, I received a phone call from HR. They asked a few basic questions and scheduled the next interview with the Finance Manager.
On the day of the interview, the Finance Manager did not give any introduction about himself or the company. HR asked a few simple soft-skill questions first.
Then the manager started asking around 5–6 finance technical questions, such as how to process accruals and which products in their company are GST-free.
What made the interview particularly challenging was that, instead of giving general scenarios, the manager provided a large amount of highly detailed information, including exact numbers, dates, and company names. Honestly, it was quite overwhelming for the interviewee, and I could barely keep up with taking notes.
After presenting all of that information, the manager then sent through two Excel files containing data. There were two major questions, each with 2–3 sub-questions, and I was required to complete the Excel tasks on the spot during the interview.
