      HR Screening, then a take-home exercise about system design (2h max) Last interview was reviewing the system design exercise and a small refactor exercise while talking about engineering in general.

      Interview

      Vitesse asked me to complete a large system design task to be presented during an interview with only 3 days notice (after I had been waiting on them for 2 weeks). During the interview, they never asked about the task, and acted confused at the end when I mentioned I was asked to prepare a task for the interview. I wasted a large amount of time on the task, so was really disappointed that I didn’t get the chance to present it. Very unorganised application process.

      Thank you for sharing your experience — we completely understand how frustrating this situation must have been, and we’re really sorry for the confusion caused. The task was shared in error by our external agency and should have been provided at a later stage in the interview process. We’ve reviewed this thoroughly and updated all our partner agencies to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We now hold regular quarterly check-ins and feedback sessions with hiring managers, interviewed, and hired candidates so we can continue to improve and deliver a fair, transparent, and positive interview experience for everyone.
