      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone (Christchurch, Canterbury) in Jan 2017

      Interview

Applied online, had a phone interview a week later. Which lasted about 30 minutes. They talked about the role, hiring process and asked a few questions such as "what do you think makes good customer service". Was then asked to fill out an online personality test and attend an assignment centre the following week. --- The assessment centre consisted of four tasks. Group exercise - 6 candidates where give a made up job. Something silly such as dolphin trainer etc. We where then put in a scenario in which a meteor was going to destroy earth. However a space shuttle with only 4 sets was available and we had to convince the group why we deserved a seat on the shuttle. Then as a group we had to come to a conclusion on who to leave behind and present it back to the hiring managers with a reason why. Listening into live phone calls - approx 30 minutes Mock phone call - Given a sheet of paper with some basic information about the services they offer with 5 minutes to review. We then had to sell the services to a Vodafone employee in a mock call. Interview - a short interview. They asked me to talk them through my resume, asked a few questions such as "describe a time when you went above and beyond for a customer" "describe a time when you had a conflict in the work place" and basic interview questions such as "when can you start" "do you require any time off" --- Received a phone call two days after congratulating me on how well I did. They described all the things I did well and asked me if I was interested in working for Vodafone. Was told they'd like to progress me onto the 'compliance' process which basically made it sounds like I had all my ducks in a row. Credit checks, references and background checks etc. Received a phone call two days later informing me that although I'd progressed to the compliance stage they felt like other candidates offered better skills and experience for the position. Overall interview experience was good, fun and a quick process. The only reason I have listed the experience as neutral is because I really don't think it's appropriate to conduct background checks and credit checks if I was still being considered against other candidates skills. I feel like this information really had no importance to my skill set or expertise I offered compared to other candidates. Making it inappropriate to seek at this stage. I recommend they don't refer to this process as 'compliance' as it makes it sound like you've got the job and they are making sure paperwork is in order.

      Interview

It was a rigorous process consisting of different stages. Started with skills testing and then to a face to face interview. Skills test took about an hour to complete onsite, about half an hour to receive results to proceed to the next stage of the interview which was face to face.

      I interviewed at Vodafone (Accra)

      Interview

The interview was long and a bit stretchy. There were two steps in the interview process; a technical interview involving skill testing, and a regular interview where one had to answer questions before a panel of two.
