I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vrbo (Austin, TX) in Aug 2012
Interview
Applied online, received a phone call to schedule a phone interview with HR. The phone interview covered basic customer service/experience type questions. Asked to site specific examples of challenges that have been overcome in past job's.
After passing the initial screening over the phone a 1:1 interview was scheduled with a team lead. The direct hiring manager was never present. The typical interview questions were asked. Nothing out of the ordinary from other interviews that I've had. After the interview I was told I would be contacted within a few days.
I was contacted and offered the position. I was sent the contract and asked to sign or decline. There would have been opportunity to negotiate the hourly rate but it was a competitive wage so I accepted and started training within 2 weeks.

Question 1
Nothing unexpected. You are asked to site specific examples of times that you felt that you handled a customer or a situation the best and what the outcome was.

Interview
You have a HireVue self interview first. Then, you’ll be contacted and have a group meeting with two hiring managers who will go over a lot of Situation/Action/Result questions. Usually you hear back within the week. If you’ve been referred you’ll hear back faster.

Interview
After the interviews I had now I understand why they have bad rating. The interview with the HR was great, however after that I had an interview with the manager and then they sent a math (equations mostly) and a cognitive test and last was a presentation that bear in mind that you have to imagine the scenario yourself as they don't give you a roleplay.
During the presentation they asked ridiculous questions which you can only have answers if you are working for the company and mind that you need to create a performance scenario for your accounts making up numbers and consider previous performance for accounts that you still don't manage.
After the presentations of around 1 hour, I was still asked " the standard behavior questions"
The interview was unnecessarily hard for such a company and low salary.
PS: The math test I still don't get it, what was that for?

Interview
