      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at WeWork (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2016

      Interview

I was approached by a recruiter who was impressed by my experience and said I was the type of person they wanted to hire for their Community Manager position, in a new building to be opening soon. I told the recruiter I would be interested in learning more about the position. Unbeknownst to me, 2 hours prior to our phone conversation which was suppose to simply be to inform me of the position, I receive an email telling me the "interview" will take place through Google Hangouts. I had to rush to download and figure out how to utilize Google Hangouts as I had never used it before, and I had to find a location appropriate for a video chat interview. The interview lasted approximately 45 minutes. About 35 minutes through the interview, he says that he knows I would be a great fit for the team but because I lacked having at least 2 years experience managing a team, WeWork would not hire me for the CM position, but that "I would be a slam dunk for the Associate Community Manager position". This position pays far less than the CM position, but seems to require just the same amount of work hours and the work tasks are virtually the same thing. He immediately set up an "in person" interview with a CM at an existing location for the following day, so as to move me further in the interview process. I went on to have two additional in-person interviews at two different locations. The interviews were scheduled at inconvenient times and in inconvenient locations (who schedules an interview during rush hour in LA?). Not to mention I spent a small fortune in parking, the entire day's interview process took me over 5 hours each day due to having to sit in rush hour traffic. Everyone I spoke with at WeWork had only been there for a few months and didn't seem to have too much knowledge of what the actual position was. My third interview I met with someone who apparently was part of the senior management team. I thought he would be able to better inform me of the details and day-to-day responsibilities of the ACM position, and I was extremely unimpressed. He was extremely relaxed throughout the interview (relaxing on a lounge/sofa) and seemed to be half asleep and annoyed that I was there, as he kept looking at his watch. The information he described to me was completely contradictory to what I had previously heard in my other interviews. I left the interview feeling extremely disappointed. I was told i would be contacted within a few days to hear what would come next in the interview process. Because I wasn't so thrilled about the position any longer, I waited a week before contacting the recruiter, since I still had not heard from them. Within 30 minutes, I received a generic template email saying they have decided not to continue with my candidacy. This company is extremely young and inexperienced, and it shows through their employees length of employment and their employees actions. Although I think the idea behind the company is interesting and progressive, I wouldn't be able to work for a company so disorganized and unprofessional.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WeWork (Bengaluru) in Apr 2022

      Interview

The phone call with the person who approached me for the job was very pleasant, she was friendly and helpful. However the guy on the zoom call was yawning the whole interview which I found a little disrespectful, even so the interview went fine and I was asked to attend the second round, which they scheduled on 3:30 in the afternoon, however I got a call from the host that the interviewers were not present that day and the interview will be scheduled on another day. After that I did not hear from them for a month. When I finally emailed them myself asking for an update, they asked me to attend a face to face round. So far so good. The day of the interview though, this guy in the front desk was very rude as I struggled to figure the face registration app they had for visitors. The guy who did my interview was arrogant and very condescending. By the half of the interview because of his passive aggressive nature I knew I wasn't selected whatsoever. At my previous company I worked as a Front Desk Executive and my senior had recommended me to choose a role of a community associate to groom my skills. So when I saw the opening for the Associate I jumped on the ocassion. Now I was really fascinated with the community role however I had little to no experience. But the interviewer asked me questions as though I was aiming for too high. I admit my answers were not great but wasn't I there to exactly learn that? When he didn't like my answer he made me sound as though I was underprepared and I was taking the interview lightly and that made me wonder. I have attended many a different interviews for many different companies but this by far was the most humiliating one.

      Interview

Gestresstes Umfeld, freundliches Team, fehlende Absprachen.

      Interview

2 video interviews with a bot 1 skype interview 1 face to face interview the entire process was done poorly. The video interviews were confusing and slow. The Skype interviewer was not prepared and could not even recall my name. The face to face interview was brief and focused on only financial aspects. At no point did anyone agree to disclose anything about the salary or working conditions. The entire process was very disappointing. For a company that talks a lot about community, they dont seem to care much about people.
