      Payroll Benefits Specialist Interview

      29 Sept 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market

      Interview

It is a panel interview where you sit in front of a minimum of ten people, all of whom will ask you questions. This panel will include management, employees, regional directors, senior management, potential fellow co-workers. Applications are looked at more than resumes, so make sure that you put all of your experience on the application. Degrees are not awarded anything-experience and knowledge is all that counts. Find out the store leader name and mail your resume and application to them directly in addition to applying online.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me to train them on something and then gave me 5 min. to prepare. Topic of my choice. Most candidates are asked to write an action plan-be sure that you contact and talk to a variety of employees for their input.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market

      Interview

After applying, I was first contacted via email with the request to have a chat and discuss the position. I spoke with the HR rep later that day and at the end of the phone call she gave me and interview slot for a few days later. The interview was with three people and lasted about an hour and 10 minutes. If you have an interview, allow for extra time because my time slot was only a half hour. It was a relaxed interview where I felt very comfortable and was asked general questions about the job and my experience with different things. We did not get into schooling details or anything not directly related to what I will be doing in the new position. I was offered the job later on that same day. My best recommendation is to just be yourself. The staff is very laid back and down to earth and they just want to know if you can do the job. No need to fuss with fancy clothes and going over and above to try to impress. Just bring your skills to the table and if you are the right person for the job you will get it.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Give an example of a situation where you felt a situation was not handled correctly or not in a way you were comfortable with and how/if it was correct.
