I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Pittsburgh, PA) in Mar 2012
Interview
Asked me typical food service question and about knife skills. Then about a bunch of hippy stuff about the community and being involved in it. Asked me what products I liked from whole foods? Also quizzed me some on species of fish
Easy just be honest about experiences. Might get job offer immediately in the same day. There will be trainings afterwards for everything you deal with. Company, team, and leaders are very helpful in every process.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market in Jan 2020
Interview
Applied online. Got a voicemail the next day at 7:15pm during dinner saying if I was still interested to call back, with the general store number. I called the next morning, no one was able to help and they said to call back after 4pm. I called at 4:30, they said to call back at 6. I called at 6 and was able to explain that I had gotten a voicemail and was still interested. The manager I spoke to was not expecting such a call, was clearly distracted by other work, and had not read my resume at all - still just launched into the basic questions and told me I should expect to hear back within a few days..that was over a week ago. Meh.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Fairfax, VA) in Feb 2019
Interview
I was contacted by phone to set up an interview after applying online the week before. I was given the choice of a few dates and times I could interview. The interview was a week later with a panel of 3. It was held in a relaxed setting, just as if we were having lunch together in their store. When you think of interviewing in front of a panel, you think it would be intimidating, but they we all very friendly and patient listeners.
