Interview
Had an initial call with the hiring manager, who was very friendly and nice. Didn’t hear back from recruiter for couple weeks, and then heard I will be moving forward to the final rounds. During this process, I realized the role was for a higher experience level, which is fine but I never had an initial call with a recruiter, so was unable to figure this out until I had met with entire team. Now it has been over a month since the final interview and I have not heard anything. I reached out to the recruiter and asked if there were any updates and she said she would connect me to her colleague (with whom I’ve never spoken to) for an update. She did not answer. Very unprofessional in terms of the recruiting team.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Austin, TX) in Apr 2022
Interview
I applied for this role in March and was reached out to in April a month later, for an interview with the hiring manager. Everything started out great -- the recruiter responded to my emails promptly and set everything up. A week later, I interviewed the hiring manager who was the team lead. She seemed intelligent, fun, inviting and like a great manager. I had an excellent experience with her. She let me know someone should be reaching out later that day or the following day. When I didn't hear back, I reached out to the recruiter to say I enjoyed my interview and was excited to hear back. No response.
The next day (4 days since my hiring manager interview), I get an email congratulating me on next steps! I was excited and then 2 hours later, the hiring manager emails me saying that no one has been able to get in contact with me. I explain that someone just reached out to me for the first time that day but I'll get in contact with her. I email the recruiter back. No response. The following day, I contact HM to let her know I'm getting no responses. At this point, I'm just confused -- are they not getting my emails?? Nope. The recruiters simply have poor communication skills. Recruiter finally messages me saying she can call me today. We talk and she tells me to text or email her available times for the next round. I ask do you want times for this week or next? She responds this week because they're trying to do the interviews quickly. I text my times. No response. I email the next day. No response. At this point, I saw their poor communication as a red flag. I don't mind waiting a few days to schedule interviews but... why not acknowledge that you received a text or email? Why not say "actually, we're doing interviews next week. Can you send over new times?" They literally just wouldn't communicate AT ALL. And it really made me feel like they were uninterested and unprofessional. I emailed them letting them know I was no longer interested in continuing forward. If I hadn't, the following week would have been Week 9 with no end in sight,
