I applied through an employee referral. The process took a year or more. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Nashville, TN) in Aug 2011
Interview
I had to apply several times over two years before my application was even acknowledged. When I was called in, I met the Team Leader and then had to come back and meet her Assistant. After passing those two interviews, I was interviewed by an Assistant Store Team Leader.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They didn't really ask me questions - they just chatted with me. I had applied multiple times, but it wasn't until a friend of mine who already worked there noticed a job was available did I get a chance to even have my application looked at. My friend went directly to the Team Leader who was hiring and suggested I was the right candidate and had been applying several times over a couple years. That's how my application was reviewed. During the interview, the only question I was asked that related to the job was whether or not I had reliable transportation.
- Received a phone call from the customer service team leader
- Interview conducted is open space with another team leader
- Second Interview with Assistant Store Manager (same day)
- Continued Interview with the team leader (same day)

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market in Mar 2018
Interview
applied on indeed
got a call the next day for an in-person interview
I interview first with the customer service assistant team leader who asked a few questions like
“Why do you want to work here?”
“What can you bring to this company”
I was also asked if I could name 3 kinds of apples..
I was asked to come back the next day to meet the team leader and they asked me maybe 4 questions and I was offered the job. Super easy, nothing crazy when applying for customer service
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Atlanta, GA) in July 2017
Interview
I interviewed at an opening store, so it was a huge group interview. We did icebreakers and several group activities, while the store's leadership observed us and would ask questions about our activities. We also did interview questions, but it was set up like speed dating so everyone was in a circle and would be asked one question before moving on to the next team leader.
