I applied online. I interviewed at Wintec (Newark, CA) in Sept 2024
Interview
Was contacted via email to schedule a phone interview. Interviewer called me at the wrong time but proceeded to interview. Initial screening consisted of behavioral questions.
Then was invited to an in-person interview with Operations Lead and Engineering Lead. Was also interviewed spontaneously by company CEO. More behavioral questions, some situational. Not technically rigorous.
Leaving a negative review because the communication following the interview was so poor. I was extended a formal offer with documentation and all, but when I tried to negotiate the start date, HR and my interviewer both ghosted me. I politely reached out multiple times asking for an update but eventually declined the offer when it became clear they weren't responding. They still haven't responded to my last email!
I don't think Wintec is very well structured or organized internally. If this is how they treat prospective candidates that they claim they want to bring on, I cannot imagine how they treat their employees.
There were three people interviewed me in total. Asked some questions about my school classes. Wend over my projects on the resume. Asked me some map algorithm questions and circuit questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There is one plug on the 1st floor, another plug on the second floor. How to build a circuit that I can use either plug to turn the power from one stage to another.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Wintec (Hayward, CA) in June 2016
Interview
Uncomfortable setting with a lot of activity going on.
Questions seemed exploratory and pertinent. Required several certifications for the position that I had frankly never heard of and I have a Masters in Human Resources Management.
