I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at X (San Francisco, CA) in June 2013
Interview
When they wanted to convince you to come in and talk to them, they could be aggressive and relentless. The processes was very unstructured. There was not any processes. The hiring managers didn't know what they were looking for. They didn't have any plan on what the position would do. They had no answers for any of my questions.
After spending $ to drive up and park my car and meet with them, they went silence. I didn't get an answer back about my candidacy even after pinging them. So, I suppose I am out.
A little courtesy to tell your candidate what is happening is a good idea. It remains to be seen if Twitter will be as successful as Google or Facebook. But judging at the hiring practice, it is way worse.

Question 1
There was no tough question. The hiring managers didn't know what they were looking for so there weren't any questions. The whole company was disorganized and my impression was that the culture was like the wild wild west.

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at X in Apr 2021
Interview
Had my first interview with the hiring manager. It was kinda nice to skip the initial HR call and go straight to the hiring manager.
I got a 50 minute overview of the position with no real talking on my side. I then was asked to rate myself in a few technical aspects on a scale of 1 to 10.
After this i was told that that if I passed this I would go to a technical interview.
Once i was done the interview i noticed the position got changed to a senior manager… then came the rejection.. It’s bad to change requirements and raise the position level after you already interviewed but i guess that’s how Twitter rolls
