Interview
I was scouted by the owner of the facility when we both volunteered at a fundraising event. She asked me to submit a resume to her email address and a few days later I was contacted by the operations manager to schedule a face to face interview. The interview took place at the airport, so I had to pay short term parking, but it was a quick interview conducted by both the manager and the head of group fitness. Asked a few questions which assessed my personality and reviewed which skills would be useful for them. I was told on the spot that I was hired and that I would have to undergo a background check before I could get badged at the airport. About 4 weeks later my background check was approved and I was scheduled a day when I would take the badging test. Test was taken in the airport with other new hires of the airport and was done through the computer. Questions were easy to answer if you paid attention to the instructional videos or took notes, but proctors were also very helpful if you have any questions. After completing the test, I was prompted to complete the badging process by going next door to get fingerprints and photo identification.
