Interview
I had recruiter call then a meeting with Kirti then a take home assignment. This was one of the most ridiculous assignments I had ever received. I was basically doing free work for the company. When I submitted my original assignment she then gave me more work to complete then told me they went with another candidate after I literally spent 2 full weeks doing these assignments. They said it’d only take 4 hours which was BS.
Here was one of the questions: - Show projections of estimated revenue **this platform can earn** off of selling payroll? What do these projections look like YOY? What do these projection look like if the platform builds 3 additional financial products on top of payroll?
I had no access to any details of pricing or finances of any sorts.
One of the worst interviews I’ve ever had.
I checked back a few months later they never hired for the role. They were scamming people for free work

Offerers use Zeal as an opportunity to become a fintech platform. Pick **1 platform (logo)** you want to sell to and include the following in the case study:

- Who are the decision markers of the Platform? Who will be likely to answer your emails/LinkedIn outbound?
- Who is the end-user of this platform? What are their top 3 pain points with payroll today?
- Why would the platform want to build payroll? What would the end-payroll product be like? Pitch the product as it would be sold to the end-user
- What opportunities does payroll open up for the platform? What financial products can the platform launch next because they now have payroll?
- Show projections of estimated revenue **this platform can earn** off of selling payroll? What do these projections look like YOY? What do these projection look like if the platform builds 3 additional financial products on top of payroll?
Hello! Take-home assignments are valuable ways for us to learn more about candidates and evaluate them holistically beyond behavioral interviews. We find that this helps us to reduce bias and pick the right candidate for our team.
In regards to your response:
1. We always encourage candidates to only spend 2-4 hours on assignments out of respect for their time.
2. We did hire for the BDR position as you can verify by another Glassdoor interview on here. Note: This interviewee is posting feedback from an interview around 1 year ago.
Appreciate you taking the time to interview at Zeal, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
