The interview process itself was composed of a phone screen and two virtual interviews. Outside of the interviews directly, I never had any kind of contact with anyone besides the HR representative who was very flaky with her communication, often omitting details about the process that would have been helpful. I was given a verbal offer and told that I could expect the written offer the same day or following. I explained that their start date would not be convenient with the time I needed to review the offer and give notice to my current company. I also sent over questions pertinent to the role that I was given no opportunity to ask during the interview process. Several days later I received an email telling me that a written offer would not be extended and effectively ending the process (I can only imagine this was due to the fact that I dared to negotiate my start date and ask intelligent questions about the role before simply accepting).
I always research companies on Glassdoor and was wary when I saw a number of negative reviews, particularly from applicants, and I can verify that the experiences they relate are accurate. My experience was very unprofessional and disorganized. I would never apply with Zelis again.
