I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Zen Planner
Interview
To submit resume, candidate was required to answer about five questions on UX design. Once resume and questions/answers made initial screen, candidates were invited to do an IQ test, a personality test and answer about nine questions while being recorded (both voice and video).
The process took quite a bit of time to complete and, while the technology was really slick, it was a very impersonal way to interview for a very human centered role. When I received the email that I didn't make the cut I asked for feedback and that email went unanswered.
If you're thinking of applying, just make sure this is a position you really want as the process is time consuming and impersonal. Additionally, if you don't make it to the next round, the conclusion is 1) they didn't think you were smart enough or 2) they didn't like your personality and with NO feedback.
It left me feeling Zen Planner values tech over human connection.
This is such great feedback for us since we have recently been experimenting with tools to help make our interview process more scalable as we grow. After some in-depth discussions within the organization and other feedback we have received, we are trialing other ways to accomplish what we need within the interview process while layering the human connection back in. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us!
